Matt is accredited as both a Chartered Financial Planner and Chartered Wealth Manager, having successfully completed the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning in 2014. He is the Director of Smith Hobbs Wealth Management, a Partner Practice of Award-Winning St. James's Place since 2016, Matt specialises in helping clients achieve their goals, through investment and retirement planning, and making the most of their tax allowances.
Matt graduated from Keele University with a 2:1 in LLB (Hons) in Law with Politics, following which he completed the Siemens Graduate Programme, working daily with their Board of Directors. When they chose to relocate, he became a Private Banking and Advice Manager at Lloyds Bank. Matt wanted to provide his clients with the best advice and in order to do this, he qualified at the highest level with the two most recognised industry organisations; the CII & CISI. Matt gained the Level 6 Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice and Management (PCIAM), and Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning with the CII, in 2014, and is the consummate professional to look after your needs.
Matt focuses on establishing strong working relationships with clients by devoting time to gain a profound understanding into their specific financial requirements- both personal and corporate. Placing a deep emphasis on personal development, Matt is committed to ensuring his industry knowledge remains relevant and current.
Matt’s interests include powerboating and enjoying new experiences. In particular, Smith Hobbs Wealth Management is passionate about providing support to those less fortunate than ourselves and takes pride in supporting the local community and animals in need.
